Brian appeared as Aladdin in the panto of that name at the Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton in December 2011 and January 2012.

Other stars included Babby Davro playing Wishee Washee, Jeffrey Holland playing Widow Twankey, and Basil Brush as, erm, Chief Inspector Basil.

Ali in the media

Ali was involved in promoting Anni's Cancer Companion which was written by her late aunt, Anni Matthews, following her diagnosis with breast cancer in 2002.

The book was published in August 2011 and Ali has been involved in publicising the book, as well as supporting breast cancer charities.

Anni's Cancer Companion is available from publishers Singing Dragon/Jessica Kingsley and from Amazon.

Ali launches the Felix Kitten Factor to raise money for Cats Protection which rehomes cats. For every

Ali is supporting Rock Your Shades, encouraging people to wear their shades with style on Friday 14th May and donate £1 to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Ali spoke at the Imagine Your Goals programme, a partnership between Time to Change, Sport Relief and the Premier League, to tackle the taboo of mental health. The campaign aims to promote football, dance and exercise as a way of managing stress and improving wellbeing.
